Here's my story. I have struggled with my weight most of my life, and I have been on almost every diet known to man. Through all this, I could never get to a healthy weight and maintain it. Sure, I lost weight, but then I would gain and lose it and the cycle of up and down continued. At age 55, I nearly weighed 320 pounds, and I feared I was on an upward spiral to significant medical problems.
Before long, I saw that my physical problems were mirrors of inner ones, and I vowed to change. Training – becoming fit through learning how to eat healthier, increase activity and a weight training program – soon led to more than a change in my appearance. I grew more confident and enthusiastic about life. I accomplished things I would never have dreamed I could do: Yoga, Pilates, Hiking, Tennis…it was endless what I wanted to do and achieve even at my age.
Helping others accomplish their goals and transform themselves from the inside out is what motivates me to do what I do. It is a pleasant two-way synergy. I have fun. My clients have fun. And together, we work hard to meet goals. I feel good about what I do, which only makes me a better trainer.
I love hearing people say "This is too tough" on day one, and at the end of year one having them say, "What's next?"
